FOS HONORED BY NYC COUNCIL

On Monday, April 26th, the New York City Council honored the contributions of FOS to the Greek American community. FOS was recognized at the annual ceremony during which Proclamations for Greek Independence were offered.  The special proclamation presented to FOS was accepted by Fr. Frank Marangos and Dorothy Poli.  Fr. Frank Marangos offered the benediction and the Consuls General of Greece and of Cyprus, Hon. Aghi Balta and Hon. Koula Sophianou, respectively, offered their remarks.    In addition, American Idol and Broadway star Constantine Maroulis was on hand to accept his proclamation and offered remarks. The ceremony and the reception that followed were held at City Hall.
